My work as a therapist involves creating a safe and supportive setting that allows you to explore areas of concern, and that promotes the opportunity for healing, change, and growth. I want you to feel comfortable talking about your problems, and I will treat everything you bring to therapy with confidentiality, care and understanding. I believe that you deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. What I don't believe in is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
Depending on your personal style and the concerns that you bring to therapy, I will help you to gain insight into your thoughts and feelings; process difficult life events; engage in practical problem solving; and offer ideas to help you change old patterns. In addition to working through problems, I will support your efforts to make changes and cheer you on during your successes. Ultimately, it is up to you to achieve your goals in therapy, but I will be there to encourage your progress and give objective feedback. Most importantly, your therapy is "successful" when you feel better, are more knowledgeable about yourself, and have hope for the future. I look forward to working with you.
